LES Teens Trip To MoMa Art Show
We attended a great art opening featuring artwork from teenagers around New York City. We had a great time and saw a lot of art for inspiration....see more photos in our photo albums...
Any participants interested in joining the MoMa's Spring Art sessions once a week, please let Lisa or Jim know and we'll get you started!! They offer: photography, sculpture, sketch art, etc.

Congratulations!!
Congratulations to LES participants who are Marta Valle students and received awards yesterday: Rhana, Ramon, Dipa, Musu, Momo, Kurnita, Khepera, Josie, Cathalana, Ainun, Kareem, Jenna, and Desiree.
Congratulations to Danny who is a semi-finalist for the prestigious New York Times Scholarship! We are all rooting for you!
Please wish William well as he creates his next documentary. Wish Jasmine and Josie well on their performance friday.
Also, congratulations to all of you who passed all your classes and are doing well, and who also use program time to your advantage!

Explore other cultures, controversies, issues facing teens, etc, EVERY thursday as we watch & discuss interesting documentaries that open our minds and change our perspective of the world, helping us to be critical thinkers.
Viewed so far: Rize (crunk dancing in LA), AfroPunk (african americans in the punk music scene), Paradise Lost Part 1&2 (murder case involving young teenagers)
